The Shift Supervisor is a position of ultimate responsibility for an assigned store in the absence of the Assistant and or Store Manager. Provides support with ordering, merchandising and training.
The Shift Supervisor is responsible for the daily operation of the store, demonstrates expertise in all store responsibilities and role modeling excellence in customer service. To provide our customers with total satisfaction by offering competitively priced, high quality products and services in a clean, safe and friendly environment.
Candidates must have the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position of Shift Supervisor. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to)
• Supervises employees engaged in sales work, taking inventory, reconciling cash with sales receipts, keeping operating records or preparing daily record of transactions for Accountant or performs work of subordinates as needed.
• Orders merchandise and prepares requisitions to replenish merchandise on hand
• Ensures compliance of employees with established security, sales and recordkeeping procedures and practices.
• Answers customer’s complaints or inquires
• Locks and secures store
• Effectively operates all store equipment
• Leads, motivates, inspires, trains, and coaches all employees
• Ensures store security and safety for all customers and employees. Promptly reports any incident

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Must have the ability to compute rates, ratio and percents, must be able to interpret graphs, and ability to determine profit margins.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for prolonged periods; work longer than eight (8) hour shifts, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch; talk and hear; taste and smell. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
