Summary:
We are looking for a self-motivated and professional material handler to join our warehouse department. If you are a hardworking individual who can complete tasks successfully with little to no supervision, then we are interested in you. In this position, you will be responsible for tracking warehouse stock, documenting orders, and storing merchandise. In addition to having excellent written and verbal communication skills, our ideal candidate must be able to lift up to 75lbs on a continuous basis. You will also possess in-depth knowledge of various warehouse machinery and equipment such as pallet jacks, scissor lifts and forklifts.
Hourly Rate: $22.00 to $25.00 an hour, depending on experience.
Job Requirements:
- Candidates will be required to take a forklift skills assessment as part of the interview process.
- Forklift certification must be obtained within the first week of employment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading inventory from storage areas, and production areas.
- Storing cargo in assigned locations using fork trucks.
- Managing inventory by identifying, cataloging, and recording the location of inventory.
- Recording the number of units handled and moved every day using RFSmart scanner.
- Operating various machinery including scissor lifts, and forklifts to handle materials and inventory.
- Analyzing pick sheets based on production orders and pulling the appropriate products for each order.
- Tracking supply levels.
- Complying with all safety and health regulations.
- Understand, support and execute all work in the established procedures, methods and working requirements
- Implements and maintains department policies and standards
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous forklift driving experience and certification required, with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Ability to lift up to a maximum of 75 pounds.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Proven ability to multi-task, set project priorities, establish department/discipline goals and objectives for self
- Strong attention to detail and written/verbal communication skills
- Positive attitude, self-motivated and eager to succeed
- Ability to either stand or sit for extended periods
- Ability to operate lift equipment in a safe manner
- Ability to perform scan functions using a RF device
- Ability to either stand or sit for extended periods
- Ability to bend, push, pull, reach, grab, turn, twist, and/or stoop
- Ability to grab small parts or hand tools with hands
