Summary: The Pricing Analyst is responsible for the design, implementation, and administration of the company's pricing program for Nice North America. This includes developments of dashboards and analytics to review historical pricing performance and forecast future pricing trends as well as interpret and implemented pricing guideline and provide specific recommendations to the Nice’s management team.
Salary range is $70,000 - $100,000 annually, depending on experience.
Location: Carlsbad, CA (In office Monday-Friday)
Primary Responsibilities:
- The candidate will be the matter expert on all Pricing dashboards and reporting.
- Synthesize and analyze market research, historical sales data, and competitive pricing to review customer pricing models and go-forward strategies.
- Lead and assist in the execution of pricing objectives, pricing programs, and pricing analytics.
- Partner with cross-functional employees to build a cohesive pricing plan and gather pricing approvals as required.
- Review and report on top customers trends to determine the success of pricing initiatives.
- Interfaces with several internal functional groups as well as outside customers to gather data and requirements.
- Increase productivity by proposing new analytics and automating models and applications.
- Perform analysis and investigate relationships between key variables including Reps, Price Realization, GM%, profitability and sales growth.
- Drive improvement by analyzing results and variances; identifying trends and recommending pricing/performance actions.
- Partner with different functions to conduct market and parametric studies to develop and establish market position, product offering, and support of standardized pricing models.
- Develops and maintains pricing spreadsheet.
- Work with Training Team to ensure that the Sales Team is trained in and has the required guidelines to successfully execute our pricing strategy.
- Handle cyclical pricing initiatives (annual fee changes and other mass updates).
- Perform other ad-hoc reporting and duties as assigned.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- 3 years of experience in a highly analytical business role, including (but not limited to) pricing, consulting, finance, technology, or retail.
- General knowledge and competence in the concepts, principles and standard practices in costing and pricing.
- Experience and understanding of statistical analysis and limitations thereof (sample size implications, statistical power, forecast error, etc.)
- Proficiency in MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple, time-sensitive deliverables and priorities.
- Ability to prioritize and stay organized within a fast-paced environment.
- knowledge of SQL, Python, R or other relational database query languages is a plus.
