As an Associate Category Manager for Facial & Surface, you will be a member of the Category Marketing team. The team’s responsibility is to lead the sales, profit and share growth of Nice Pak categories through primarily private label and some company brand initiatives. This involves marketing and category management responsibilities, including analytics, financials and bids, new product development, project management, retailer support and collaboration, market research, consumer insights, package design, and claims. Your responsibility will be to support the team’s objectives and deliverables. You will assist in managing the day-to-day responsibilities for the facial and surface wipe businesses as well as company brand-related responsibilities.

What We Expect From You In The Role
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Assist Sr Manager in running the day-to-day business by attending regular meetings with cross-functional category teams and account teams to understand business and customer needs and to collaboratively work to achieve agreed-upon goals.
- Lead select development and renovation projects to support category or customer goals, including formula, packaging, or applicator transitions.
- Work with PMO and Commercialization to see through key projects to deliver business goals.
- Work with Sr Manager, Sales, and R&D to identify and substantiate required product claims and with Regulatory Affairs and Legal to review and approve claims documents.
- Analyze and report on category performance using Circana and other data sources; identify trends and opportunities to improve sales, profitability, and share.
- Use secondary sources to stay on top of category trends in the marketplace, summarizing findings for management to use when developing category strategies and new products.
- Work with Sales, Finance, Procurement, and Operations to complete select Cost Requests so item financials can be completed.
- Oversee product sample requests for sales and/or testing purposes, initiating and tracking requests as needed.
- Gather competitive products for preparation for consumer or UL testing.
- Category competitive tracking and resulting recommendations
- Assist in the development of key presentations for management and customers as required.
- Help with administrative responsibilities such as tracking expenses and paying invoices; budgeting and keeping sample room updated and organized.
- Marketing and business management experience in consumer product space (brands and private label /store brands combination preferred)
- Financial acumen, including experience with P&Ls Analytical skills, including the ability to summarize data using pivot charts Exposure to consumer research, including quantitative and qualitative testing a plus
- Experience within a matrix organizational structure
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in an established consumer packaged goods or national retail organization (branded and /or private label) in a marketing, sales, or product development role
- Project management/coordination experience
- Experience managing cross-functional teams to bring products to market Ability to work independently, proactively, and efficiently to run the internal and external demands of complex, evolving categories
- Hands-on, can-do attitude High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to keep information and materials well organized for easy reference/access
- Ability to learn new processes quickly
- Ability to establish positive, constructive working relationships quickly as a leader and team member
- Proactivity: ability to see opportunities for improving processes and taking action to do so

- Comfortable working in a relatively flat, matrixed organization
- Ability to work within fast-moving, dynamic, and challenging business environment, demonstrating flexibility as business situations require
- Competence with Microsoft Office; Microsoft Project; Experience with syndicated reporting such as Circana (IRI) or Nielsen database highly desired

- Travel 10%, may include overnight

- Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000
