POSITION PURPOSE
This position reports to the Compounding Value Stream Manager and shall be responsible for safety pertaining to all employees working or present in the Compounding area. Compounding Lead is also responsible for chemical inventory, batch integrity, Value Stream Training and ensuring all personnel working in the compounding department adhere to Nice-Pak Products, Inc. Policies, Standard Operational Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI) for batching liquid, sanitization, and or the conveyance of liquid to converting equipment.

Education/Certification

Policies, Standard Operational Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI) for batching liquid, sanitization, and or the conveyance of liquid to converting equipment.
Essential Functions And Basic Duties
- Drive safety within the department and across the plant
- Produce and maintain liquid solutions for production
- Plan scope of work across three shifts to include batching and cleaning schedules
- Requisition and maintain raw chemical inventory
- Know and understand liquid transport system
- Monitor and maintain Purified Water System and ensure PMs are completed
- Maintain records on liquid lots and production yields to include waste
- Maintain records of hazardous waste and reporting
- Communicate any event or issue that may impact operations, department, or plant
- Maintain cleaning and sanitization logs for all aspects of compounding
- Development of work instructions, standard operating procedures, batch sheets, and preventive maintenance plans
- Troubleshoot and determine root cause for compounding issues
- Lead continuous improvement within the compounding department
- Conduct training and mentoring to other compounders and follow the Value Stream Process
Qualifications
The following qualifications include formal training, education, certifications, licensures, and/or working experience required to perform the essential functions of the job responsibilities and duties competently.
Education/Certification
- High School Diploma/GED; Technical Associates Degree Preferred
- Familiar with freight damage and claim procedures
- Understand Safety Data Sheet information and warnings
- 3-5 Years Chemical Compounding experience required
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Good computer skills using Microsoft Office Package
- Good math skills
- Ability to understand and interpret batch instructions
- Good communication, both written and verbal
- Adaptable to and positive toward change
- Ability to coach and lead in a team-based environment
- Bending, standing, stooping, and walking
- Sitting for extended periods of time over a 12-hour shift
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
- Twisting and turning body and neck repetitively over a 12-hour shift
- Pushing and pulling 10-20 lbs over head
- Must be able to physically and visually navigate the production floor and assigned work areas in a safe manner, including areas of varying texture, temperature and line of sight.
