SUMMARY :
As a Senior Paint Line Operator at our fiber cement manufacturing facility, you will be
responsible for overseeing and executing the paint line processes for our fiber cement products.
This role involves operating advanced paint machinery, ensuring high precision and quality in
product output and leading a team to maintain efficient and effective operations.
PRINCIPLE ACTIVITIES :
The following lists the principal activities associated with the position of Senior Paint Line
Operator.
Operate paint line equipment according to work instructions
Prepare paint solvent mix
Check product coating amounts using proper scales or eqipment as described in procedures
and / or work instructions.
Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
Operate and adjust roll coaters and to adjust paint spray gun nozzles in order to get the proper
paint flow
Monitor machine temperature by reading the control for each oven.
Adjust machine settings and parameters as required to meet production specifications
Maintain accurate records of production activities, machine performance and any issues
Monitor all rollers and conveyor belts and reports issues or concerns
Perform round sheet checks related to paint line process
Perform all necessary quality checks and log the results
Oversee corrective action for any deviations or defects found with quality checks
Create work orders for necessary activities
Give alerts to floor staff for process issues
Identify opportunities for improvements
Identify potential safety hazards and notify correct personnel
EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE :
Sprayers and equipment related to sprayers
Roll Coaters
Ovens
Diaphragm pumps
Air chisels
Agitators
SAFETY :
Understand and follow all safety procedures
o Current on all safety trainings
o Wears all required PPE when necessary (steel toe boots, safety glasses, ear plugs)
Understand Lock Out Tag Out procedures for assigned areas.
Perform duties according to OSHA guidelines, policies and procedures
Complete General Plant Safety Training within the first 8 weeks.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
Must be able to work long periods while continuously standing, twisting, bending, reaching,
and stooping.
Must be able to work environment which is dusty and noisy.
Must be able to work in plant environment with extreme seasonal temperatures.
Must be able to work 10%-50% of shift while continuously standing, twisting, bending,
reaching, and stooping.
Must be able to safely walk and work around machinery.
Needs to be able to go up and down stairs 60% of the time.
