Position : Field Technical Representative
Department : Field Technical Services
Location : Southeast Region
Reports to : Field Technical Manager
Position Summary : The Field Technical Representative will complement sales and ensure integrity of product installation by sharing extensive technical and performance knowledge of all Architectural Wall Panels (AWP) in an assigned region. Promote installation best practices through effective communication. Develop and maintain a successful installer network by communicating, training and auditing completed installations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain a network of qualified installers in assigned territory
Identify key installers and dealers and nurture the relationship through training, mock wall, job starts, audits and follow up.
Communicate proper vision of the company and proper install guidelines and best practicesEvaluate effectiveness of current strategies and programsPartner and nurture relationship with local sales territory manager and division managerJob site visits / Job startsRepresent Nichiha in a respectable manner by observing and following the rules of a commercial jobsite
Complete observation reports for each jobsite visit, within 48-hours of the visitHost a job start with a sales territory manager when neededComplete warranty claim inspectionsManage sales resources as they relate to technicalAttend Design Review meetings when needed
Host a job start with a sales territory manager when neededServe as Technical ConsultAnswer technical questions from customers and provide small scale, on demand training
Assist in product development when appropriateGather information on prospective installation methods, new products or strategiesProvide new technical information and answer questions from the sales teamCOMPETENCIES
Excellent understanding about infield construction processes and installation practices, particularly for commercial constructionMust be a self-starter with excellent time management skillsMust be an effective communicator, both articulate & verbally presentable with the ability to communicate technical knowledge to both customers and colleagues.Must have effective people skills with an ability to achieve results through influencing others at job site through education and trainingExhibit confidence with strong problem solving and decision-making skills.Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workload and schedule effectively.QUALIFICATIONS
College Degree preferred and High School degree requiredMinimum of 5 years of work experience in construction or relevant industries.Ability to work with power toolsAbility to travel 90%, travel will vary on market areaOutdoors, varying climates, depending on the market areaAbility to sit, stand, stoop, twist and bendAble to lift up to 70lbs.Ability to climb ladders / scaffolding
