What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paint Line Operator I - Plant 2 (Night Shift) position at Nichiha?
PRINCIPLE ACTIVITIES:
The following lists the principle activities associated with the position of Paint Line Operator I.
- Operate paint line equipment according to work instructions.
- Prepare paint solvent mix.
- Check product dimensions with use of various indicators and gauges as described in procedures and/or work instructions.
- Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE:
- Sprayers
- Filters
- Conveyors
SAFETY:
- Understand and follow all safety procedures.
- Current on all safety trainings
- Wears all required PPE when necessary (steel toe boots, safety glasses, ear plugs)
- Understand Lock Out Tag Out procedures for assigned areas.
- Perform duties according to OSHA guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Complete General Plant Safety Training within the first 8 weeks.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift at least 20lbs.
- Must be able to work long periods while continuously standing, twisting, bending, reaching, and stooping.
- Must be able to work environment which is dusty and noisy.
- Must be able to work in plant environment with extreme seasonal temperatures.
