Position: Technical Analyst
Department: Technical Services – Architecture & Engineering
Location: Johns Creek, GA (Hybrid)
Reports to: Technical Services Manager
Position Summary: The Technical Analyst will conduct detailed technical design reviews of construction project opportunities to support architects and/or contractors in the design and execution of Nichiha products in their application. The process involves examining project architectural and structural drawings, including design wind criteria and other structural specifics in order to provide clear guidance on standard and/or customized requirements and recommendations. The analyst’s main objective is to promote successful and safe installations of Nichiha cladding products. Review findings are communicated by phone, in person, and/or in writing to frontline sales and external customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct technical design reviews as a key service to Nichiha customers in order to help win projects
- Coordinate and communicate design reviews to appropriate external and internal sales associates and customers
- Assist in developing new products and applications
- Help build, maintain, and improve the technical document and literature library
- Participate in product testing and code compliance activities
- Take initiative to identify improvement areas, new resources, processes, and/or technologies
- Travel to industry conferences and shows, project sites, testing laboratories and training seminars

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, building science or equivalent years of experience.
- 2-5 years of plans examiner experience with understanding of construction, building materials, building codes, and construction drawings
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and drawings
- Working knowledge of Bluebeam, AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Proficiency using MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Photoshop, Adobe
- Knowledge of CRM/Salesforce (preferred)
