DISTRIBUTION CENTERS
As one of the largest independent food distributors in the Intermountain West, Nicholas and Company delivers over 10,000 products throughout a six-state area. JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a dynamic role where you will be a key part of our Operations Team with objectives including:

- Effectively communicate with operations teams, to inform and/or provide solutions for customers and proactively solve problems

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for Leading a team of 10-20 Team Members

Responsible for Pick-Pack line set up in line with productivity goals, such as:
- Verification of product item and quantity
- Validation of pick-pack line accuracy
- Meeting Carrier Pick up deadlines
- Team Member Productivity

Work closely with other warehouse team members and/or departments to ensure smooth and efficient order fulfillment
- To ensure accuracy in pick-pack performance based on customer orders, ensuring the right items and quantities are selected and maintain Company ROA Goals.
- To achieve company Fill Rate goals.

Responsible for Biweekly/Monthly customer inventory cycle count to ensure inventory accuracy and reporting.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring that stock levels are correct and that inventory is stored in an organized manner and in its designated area.
- Conduct routine inventory counts and report discrepancies
- Provide coverage to all areas of the warehouse to ensure all dispatch times are met and in conjunction with department head, direct the day-to-day activities of the warehouse operation – Activities may include; Receiving, replenishment, restocking, product location, shipping/Pick Pack, clerical duties, etc.

Ensure that all manifests, customer packets and miscellaneous paperwork are properly processed. Maintain the work flow constant at all times, while executing observation checks in all areas throughout the day to ensure best practice expectations are met.
- Prepare items for shipment, including labeling packages, generating shipping documentation, and ensuring all orders are ready for dispatch in a timely manner.
- Communicate with internal and external customers to ensure high service levels are consistently maintained.
- Safely and securely pack products for shipment, ensuring packaging meets quality standards and protects items during transit.
- Prepared to work in temperatures as low as -10, as our warehouse includes dry, cooler and freezer storage. We’ll provide the cooler/freezer wear
- Lift (up to 75lbs) and bend throughout your shift
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Adhere to company policies and safety procedures.
- Assist with other tasks as needed.
- Complete other duties and assignments as directed by your supervisor/manager
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Additional tasks as assigned by Leadership
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Able to operate and have a basic understanding of mechanical operation of pallet jack, Reach forklift, man-lift and other such warehouse equipment
- Must possess basic math skills and have the capacity to retain numbers
- At least two years of increasing responsibility in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Demonstrate the ability to make timely decisions using sound judgment
- Strong Computer skills with experience in a Pick-Pack line setting
- Experience operating Electric Pallet Jack and/or Reach Forklift
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds repetitively as well as bend and reach for product when needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in a warehouse, picking, packing, and Leadership role in order fulfillment setting
- Ability to train, motivate, coach and lead team members
- Ability to interact effectively with other departments within the organization
- Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately pick and pack orders, ensuring that all items are correctly selected and securely packaged.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up-to 75 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently to meet order deadlines.
- Team Player: Ability to work well with others in a team environment, contributing to the overall success of the warehouse operation.
- Safety Awareness: Understanding of and adherence to warehouse safety procedures and guidelines.
- Self-motivated with the ability to develop relationships and work with a wide variety of people with minimal supervision
