What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance/ Automation Assistant position at Nicholas Meats LLC?
Job Purpose
Upkeep, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks will be performed so that smooth and efficient operation of facilities and equipment can be ensured.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assistance in routine/regular maintenance duties conducted to prevent production down time.
- Repairing and monitoring conveyor systems (replacing motors, fixing belting, etc).
- Receive training on scale calibrations, printers, and more.
- Become knowledgeable with all plant operations and equipment.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of hire.
- Must have a valid driver's license and means of getting to and from work.
- Must have 1-2 years of prior maintenance experience.
- Must have personal hand tools (larger equipment such as drills, welders, etc. are provided).
- Electrical knowledge is preferred.
Working Conditions
- Indoor and outdoor work. Candidate must be willing to work in all temperatures ranging from hot to freezing. The appropriate PPE will be provided.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 75lbs.
- Considerable walking required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.20 - $29.60 per hour
