REPORTS TO: Head Football Coach
JOB SUMMARY:
This is a full-time, 12-month Offensive Coordinator and O-line position, charged with assisting the head coach. Preferably three years of coaching experience. This position accepts responsibility for leadership, vision, and supervision of the football program. Nichols College, a member of the NCAA Division III, located in Dudley, MA (Central MA) invites applications for a full-time assistant football coach.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assistant Coach
- Support the head coachs vision.
- Identify and attract outstanding student-athletes to Nichols College.
- Assist the head coach in teaching skills related to football.
- Engage with student-athletes and maintain strong relationships.
- Monitor the academic progress of your players.
- The recruiting area will be assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EDUCATION REQUIRED:
- Bachelors degree preferred with experience in collegiate athletics and coaching.
- Genuine understanding and commitment to NCAA Division III intercollegiate athletics philosophy
- Solid knowledge and technical skills for football.
- Must have strong leadership and people skills plus an ability to work with all constituencies of the campus.
- CPR/ AED and First Aid certification
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, able to handle a multi-task work environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be computer proficient, use PowerPoint and Vizio programs.
- Valid drivers license
- Must be able to use HUDL video system.
- Being CSCS & SCCC Certified is preferred but not required
