With four research facilities located in the San Francisco Bay Area and Central California, we are a leader in providing solutions for our client's research studies.
Nichols Research seeks marketing research Facility Assistants to join our team in a key operational role. You will be responsible for supporting our staff at our Sunnyvale research facility and assisting our clients who utilize our space to conduct their marketing research studies. Duties will include project set-up and oversight, managing audio-visual equipment needs, some food ordering and preparation, clerical support, and fostering excellent client relations.
The ideal candidate must have a consistent schedule and is open to hours that are typically assigned each week, with the flexibility to work at our others offices in Fremont and/or San Francisco. You must also possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be detail-oriented, a self-starter, and able to prioritize research study deadlines. Nichols Research management will provide specific job training and support. This position is an excellent opportunity for the right individual seeking a flexible schedule while working in an interesting field and a dynamic team environment.
Qualified candidates may also be eligible to conduct field intercept interviews that are conducted outside of our research facilities.
This position is permanent part-time with day and nighttime hours needed with opportunities to grow into a managerial level.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensuring clients' service needs are met, and clients' experience at our facilities is exceptional.
Embodies a positive, proactive, solutions-based, and welcoming attitude to our clients.
Assists with room set-up and equipment set-up and break down.
Distributes necessary project materials and supplies as instructed.
Assists with pre-group questionnaires or surveys.
Ensuring marketing research participants' needs are met.
Provides client and respondent food service at the appropriate time during an on-site study (as needed).
Manages audio/visual recordings and forwards them to client as instructed.
Honors special client requests; communicates issues/changes to clients and management promptly.
Handles accounting incentives preparation and distribution.
Upkeeps kitchen (e.g., dishwashing, wiping down counters, putting away clean dishes, etc.) upon project completion.
Clerical duties as needed, including answering the telephone, materials shipping, updating computer records and files, and general facility upkeep.
Special assignments as needed, such as working off-site as a Survey Intercept Interviewer.
QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent client/customer service skills; Strong interpersonal and communication skills; strong organizational skills; good computer skills; flexible; detail oriented. Professional, welcoming demeanor in person, via phone and email communications. Ability to communicate tactfully with clients, research participants and Nichols Research team members.
