Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Painter/Material Handler to join our team in a fast-paced environment. The Painter/ Material Handler will be responsible for efficiently moving, loading, and unloading materials and products while ensuring compliance with safety standards. This role is essential in maintaining the flow of operations within the warehouse and supporting shipping and receiving activities.
Duties
- Paint/Prime structural steel in paint booth area
- Load and unload materials from trailers using various equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes.
- Organize and parts, ensuring that products are stored safely and efficiently.
- Assist in shipping processes by verifying outgoing shipments against documentation.
- Perform regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and adherence to OSHA safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Execute heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper lifting techniques are utilized to prevent injury.
Skills
- Experience in paint application in a paint booth setting is preferred.
- Proficient in operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and cranes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues as they arise.
- Familiarity with shipping processes to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to material handling operations.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for product control.
