Warehouse Specialist:

Nickerson NY, LLC – Ronkonkoma, NY

Nickerson is looking for a driven, energetic warehouse employee to join our team. Successful candidates must be independent, and detail oriented. This position requires, excellent communications skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to manage multiple projects at one time.

Nickerson is a major school furnishings and equipment distributor in the NY and NJ Area. We ‘Furnish a Child’s Education’ through our Four Core Values of “A Will to Succeed” “People are Important” “Trustworthiness” and “Customer Focus” We sell and install products that are used in educational facilities such as lockers, bleachers, athletic equipment, and auditorium seating.

Responsibilities:

• Parts and material sourcing for all internal divisions
• Maintain the schedule for all warehouse equipment and inbound/outbound deliveries
• Forklift operator
• Coordinate incoming and outgoing deliveries to the warehouse with internal teams
• Must have a Class D driver Licenses
• Deliveries to be made throughout NY and NJ with in-house vehicles as needed
• Liaison with all other departments
• Build lockers as required
• Special projects and requests as needed

Qualifications:

• Teamwork
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read architectural drawings is a plus
• Inventory management

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.44 - $27.40 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
