Job Summary:
Cleans, sanitizes, and organizes the catering area under the guidance of the Catering Manager. Prepares and delivers catering services in various facilities. Sets up daily catering services for Food and Nutrition customers and determines weekly resources needed to support scheduled catering services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinates catering services with management and delivers services to different locations as requested.
- Determines daily resources needed to support scheduled catering services.
- Ensures food and food-related items are displayed in an orderly manner according to internal guidelines.
- Prepares catering supplies and communicates requests to the buyer.
- Prepares coffee service requests and ensures proper setup and cleanliness.
- Checks inventory and prepares for same-day and next-day events.
- Communicates customer concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Returns unused food and disposes of non-eaten perishable food.
- Follows proper dress code and hand-washing procedures.
- Ensures infection control and safety guidelines are followed.
Common Duties:
- Maintains accountability by completing licensures, certifications, and education requirements.
- Maintains timekeeping expectations and ensures behavior is compliant with communication standards.
- Ensures behavior meets or exceeds targeted service scores.
Requirements:
- SafeServ Certification within 3 months of hire
- 1-3 years' experience in catering services, banquet events, or hospitality industry
- Ability to communicate in English and label food items
- Knowledge of Spanish is helpful
- Able to relate cooperatively with customers and co-workers
- Able to use computers and software applications
- Knowledge of Safety and Regulatory guidelines
- Able to follow instructions and maintain equipment
