Job Summary

The position is primarily a clinical role involving the diagnosis, treatment, and management of pediatric patients in a multidisciplinary environment. This includes exposure to both general and high acuity cases. The position also involves teaching and supervision of medical residents and opportunities for research and publishing.

Key Responsibilities

• Applies knowledge of growth and development in patient interactions and care.
• Maintains ongoing professional education through reading journals, CME credits, and conferences.
• Develops and delivers regular training sessions for staff and residents.
• Covers test results, lab studies, and follow-up phone calls.
• Provides direct clinical services, including history and physical examinations, interpreting patient data, developing treatment plans, and ordering diagnostic procedures.
• Makes suggestions for department improvement.
• PARTicipates in Performance Improvement, Research, and Publishing initiatives.
• Contributes to the teaching and mentoring of medical students and residents.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from an accredited medical school.
• Current state medical license in good standing with the medical board.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
