What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Manager position at Nicky's Coal Fired?
Nicky's Coal Fired is hiring an full time service manager. This is a salaried position that includes paid time off, a health benefits program, and a 30-40 hour work week. We close between 8pm-10pm depending on business volumes, so there are no late nights!
Duties include managing FOH staff as we prepare to open the restaurant, managing the flow of service and supporting servers, hosts, bartenders, and expo as needed. Ensuring guest satisfaction by touching tables and making connections with customers, assisting with group reservation management, nightly checkout of servers and bar staff, and ensuring FOH closing duties are properly executed.
Additional duties include placing weekly bar orders and monthly inventory, as well as entering employee hours weekly for payroll. These duties can be done on a schedule of your choosing, and take an estimated 1.5 hours per week.
The ideal person for this job is someone who can take charge, and seeks a position that they can make their own. While you will be working alongside the restaurant management team, you will not be micromanaged, so a strong leader who enjoys taking ownership over their work will be an ideal fit for the job.
