Dishwasher/Food Prep

Job Overview
The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and hospitality and be committed to maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen. Shifts available are Monday - Friday from 4 pm -10 pm. Saturday & Sunday 11 am - 4 pm / 4 pm - 10 pm. Base pay is $12 hourly tips.

Duties

• Washing all wares, including pots, pans, flatware, and glasses, by hand or using dishwashers.
• Following thorough dishwashing procedures to fully sanitize each dish.
• Maintaining a clean and organized dish area.
• Preparing all kitchen tools necessary for cooking and cleaning.
• Clearing up messes and organizing storage areas and shelves.
• Responding to the needs of cooks and other restaurant staff.
• Ensuring work areas remain safe, clean, and orderly.
• Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
• Follow instructions from cooks to ensure consistency in food prep.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dish area by washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.

Skills

• Proficiency or willingness to learn food handling techniques and knowledge of food safety practices.
• Experience in hospitality settings such as restaurants, hotels, or catering services is a plus.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help colleagues as needed.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in food preparation.
• Excellent cleaning skills to maintain a hygienic workspace.

This position is ideal for individuals with dish/prep experience or someone looking to gain experience in the food service industry while contributing to a local family-run restaurant.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 35 per week
