We are growing and looking for new talent to join our team.


NSM is an ISO Accredited Calibration Company that has been providing calibration, repair and sales of all types of weighing and measurement products since 1931.

As a Field Calibration Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and precision of various measuring and testing equipment used in industries such as manufacturing, engineering, and research. You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering high-quality calibration services to our clients. Your primary duties will include:

Conducting on-site calibrations of various instruments and equipment according to established procedures and specifications.

Performing adjustments, repairs, and troubleshooting of equipment as necessary to maintain accuracy.

Documenting calibration procedures, results, and any deviations from expected values.

Interacting with clients to discuss calibration requirements, scheduling appointments, and providing technical support.

Maintaining calibration standards and equipment, including regular cleaning, maintenance, and calibration of reference standards.

Regularly collaborate with Lab Manager on scheduling, workload and in-house workload.

Adhering to safety protocols and ISO/IEC 17025:2015 quality assurance systems at all times.

Special Requirements:

Proficiency in using calibration software and equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, pressure gauges, temperature controllers, and torque wrenches.

Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025:2015, ANSI/NCSL Z540) governing calibration processes.

Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.

Experience with data analysis and statistical methods for evaluating calibration results.

Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Adaptability to work in diverse environments and handle various types of equipment across different industries.

Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on building positive relationships with clients and addressing their needs effectively.

Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and calibration software applications.

Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development in the field of calibration and instrumentation.

Requirements:

Associate degree or equivalent technical certification in electronics, engineering, or a related field.

Military calibration experience (PMEL or TMDE Training)

3 plus years of experience in calibration, instrumentation, or electronics preferred.

Strong understanding of measurement principles and calibration techniques.

Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients.

Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.

Must be physically fit and able to lift 25-50 lbs. on occasion

Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
