Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Manager of Technology Operations oversees and enhances the quality, efficiency, and responsiveness of technology operations and services throughout the College. With a focus on strategic planning, operational oversight, and team leadership, the Manager ensures a superior, service-oriented approach to IT system operations. Responsibilities include developing IT user and operations policies, establishing and managing annual operating budgets, and collaborating with other IT leaders in a confidential advisory capacity to the Chief Information Officer for future IT planning and development. This role encompasses support for infrastructure, voice, classroom technology, helpdesk, and cyber security oversight.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

IT Operations: Research, recommend, and procure hardware and software solutions in alignment with the College's strategic objectives.Ensure availability of necessary resources and tools for maintaining high-quality and timely technology operations.Collaborate with both external vendors and internal stakeholders to drive technology roadmaps and foster innovative solutions.Proactively identify potential challenges in the technology landscape and devise effective mitigation strategies.IT Cyber Security: Spearhead network and security operations for the College, focusing on roadmap development, planning, and execution, while providing guidance to other departments.Identify and mitigate cybersecurity risks to safeguard College assets.Develop and execute contracts and licensing agreements for various security solutions.Maintain optimal network performance through continuous monitoring, analysis, and performance tuning.Team Leadership: Cultivate a top-tier team by attracting and retaining top talent from the industry.Recruit, train, manage, and evaluate personnel within IT infrastructure and Cyber Security departments.Actively participate in both IT and College leadership and management teams.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Sound knowledge of IT systems (hardware/software/security), and cloud technology. Sound understanding of networks, security, telecommunications, databases and storage systems. Experience working with information technology budgets. Excellent organizational and leadership skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with an entrepreneurial mindset. Excellent vendor management skills. Excellent organizational skills and a commitment to continuous quality improvement. Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills. Ability to manage and prioritize tasks and projects.
