This position must maintain extensive working knowledge of complex laws, rules, regulations, and policies set forth by county, state and federal performance measures and standards. The position applies any change to process, policy and procedure to effectively manage workload; enters data into computer system for case initiation; communicates with clients and other agencies to gather maximum amount of information; assists in advanced locate efforts; and processes and images all mail for the child support unit.

Reviews and reconciles all public assistance case referrals made to Providing Resources to improve Support in Minnesota (PRISM) from Management of Administrative eXpenditure Information System (MAXIS) and paper applications. Manually builds all non-public assistance cases by reviewing and entering information from applications.

Contacts clients and conducts research to determine their physical whereabouts; uses multiple systems to find pertinent information needed for the case. Assesses medical, locate, and delinquency work lists generated by PRISM for all of the Child Support Officers; determines and executes course of action needed to trace and import valid information received.

Coordinates appointments, identifies parties and administers genetic testing to establish a biological relationship between parties and child, while upholding the required standards set forth by the genetic testing company and the County. Serves genetic test results upon parties and attorneys; appears and testifies in court for paternity actions as required.

Calculates judgment renewal records within federal timeframes by auditing principal and interest balances; finalizes research, serves renewed judgment to respondent, and requests court to file, enter and docket the same. Serves establishment, motion to set, and modification proposed orders on parties and attorneys.

Processes incoming mail for the child support unit.   Compiles, interprets, organizes and images documentation in electronic files. Manages an additional Support Enforcement Aide docbox within the electronic document storage system. Maintains extensive knowledge of multiple computer systems.

A valid driver’s license; and,
Three (3) years of increasingly responsible clerical experience and/or experience working with the public.
