Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee our accounting operations and ensure the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of our financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both US GAAP and IFRS, deep understanding of accounting principles, with a focus on financial reporting, and a deep knowledge of SAP (ERP System). A proven ability to manage and develop a team (even remotely) is also requested. This role is critical for maintaining compliance with financial regulations and supporting the company’s strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee Accounting Operations: Manage daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and month-end close processes.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with local GAAP and IFRS, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Policy and Compliance Management: Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations, including GAAP and IFRS.
• Audit Management: Lead the coordination of external audits, ensuring all necessary documentation is provided and any issues are promptly addressed.
• Financial Analysis: Analyze accounting data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Certification and Compliance: Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, certifications, and regulatory standards, particularly in relation to local GAAP and IFRS.
• SAP and Systems Oversight: Utilize SAP and other financial systems to manage and streamline accounting processes, ensuring data integrity and efficient reporting.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive improvements in accounting operations, focusing on increasing accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness in financial reporting.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of [5-7] years of accounting experience
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in SAP accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of local GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant financial regulations and compliance standards.
• Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
