Position Overview:
As an IT Support Specialist, you will support the IT department by handling on-site user requests, ensuring compliance with ticketing procedures, and assisting with inventory management. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about IT and looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • User Support:
  • Respond to on-site user requests and provide technical assistance.
  • Guide users through the ticket submission process, ensuring all requests are properly documented before providing support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware and software issues.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff as necessary.
  • Ticketing Management:
  • Monitor and manage the IT helpdesk system, ensuring all user requests are logged and addressed in a timely manner.
  • Track the progress of open tickets and follow up with users as needed.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Assist with the organization and tracking of IT inventory, including hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accurate records.
  • Help manage the lifecycle of IT assets, from procurement to decommissioning.
  • Administrative Support:
  • Provide general administrative support to the IT department as needed.
  • Assist with documentation of IT processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common IT hardware.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior experience in a technical support role or familiarity with ticketing systems is a plus.
