Job Description
Nidec is seeking an experienced Global Quality Director to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive quality strategy that meets customer expectations and drives quality excellence on a global scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement global quality strategies to ensure high-quality standards and meet customer expectations.
- Build processes with cross-functional teams to identify trends, optimize capacity, and improve service levels.
- Manage quality initiatives in partnership with Engineering, Technical Support, Customer Service, and Sales teams.
- Lead process improvements while meeting customer needs and business objectives.
- Deploy best practices to enhance first-pass yield rates and reduce PPM defect rates.
- Provide timely reports as required by leadership.
- Support customer quality issues through root cause analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent degree; Electric motor or electronics major preferred.
- 15 years of progressive quality management experience in industrial manufacturing, CMQ/OE certification desirable.
- Strong business acumen and proven quality management track record.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including team building and motivation.
- Results-oriented and customer-focused individual.
- Lean Six Sigma experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to travel.
- Languages English mandatory; other language skills helpful.
