Nielsen Madsen Barber is in immediate need of an eager and motivated Professional Land Surveyor to work full time with an accomplished team of Land Surveyors and Civil Engineers. The company offers benefits including insurance (health, dental, vision, disability, etc.), PTO, holiday pay, and several company outings throughout the year. We also offer opportunities for career growth, training, and advancement. This is primarily an office role with an occasional visit to project sites to help field crews as needed.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

-Oversee and schedule day-to-day operations of survey field crews

-Prepare estimates and proposals for survey projects (experience with construction staking projects is a plus)

-Review and seal surveys including, but not limited to: ALTA surveys, CSMs and subdivision plats, boundary surveys, topo surveys, easement exhibits, legal descriptions, foundation and as-built certifications

-Monitor budgets and review client invoices

-Assist clients with survey-related questions

-Review field notes to ensure quality is up to company standards

-Coordinate survey needs with engineers and drafters

-Visit potential project sites to aid in estimates/proposals

-Review titles and deeds to configure boundaries with varying levels of complexity


Qualifications

-Minimum 3 years of experience surveying in WI and/or IL

-A valid Professional Land Surveyor's license in WI and/or IL, or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire

-An Associates Degree in an accredited Civil Engineering program, or a Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying (required for WI and IL licenses)

-Valid driver's license

Salary : $75,000 - $120,000
