What are the responsibilities and job description for the Property Administrator position at Nieuw Amsterdam Property Management?
Looking for a Property Administrator for a growing real estate management office located in Lower Manhattan.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Answering phones and promptly responding to messages
- Administrative duties including filing, organizing meetings, generating correspondence, routing mail, and data entry
- Generating work orders
- Preparing mailings
- Managing Section 8 and HUD apartments including coordinating repairs and submitting paperwork
- Ensuring that property, lease files, and rent rolls are properly maintained and kept up to date
- Reviewing leases for compliance, maintaining all leases signed, preparing and sending out lease renewals
- Assisting with billing dispute resolution
The successful candidate will:
- Be proactive and highly motivated with the ability to self manage
- Have excellent communications and resident relations skills
- Have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role in New York City
- Have working knowledge of HPD, and DHCR regulations
- Be friendly, outgoing, highly organized, detail oriented, and hardworking
- Be computer literate with proficiency in MS Office and the ability to learn and use windows based property management software. Experience with Yardi and MDS a plus.
- Enjoy interacting over the phone, have the ability to multitask, and be eager to learn and help improve a growing real estate company.
Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience
