Responsible for all aspects of the shift operation regarding production.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinate activities in production for designated shift in accordance with procedures and work instructions
- Coordinate daily operator assignments to meet schedule requirements.
- Communicate issues regarding part/container supply to Warehouse as needed.
- Communicate issues regarding schedule/jobs to Planning as needed.
- Collaborate with Quality on effective solutions to resolve product defect issues and customer complaints.
- Perform/administer disciplinary action for minor production infractions.
- Perform/verify quality audits.
- Ensure equipment process and product quality meet documented internal standards.
- Ensure 5S activities are being performed and rules are being followed.
- Follow and enforce all safety guidelines.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as required my Management for production needs.
- Ensure compliance to all IATF quality and ISO environmental guidelines.
- Participate in physical inventory activities as requested.
- Other job-related tasks as assigned by Management.
- High School diploma or GED
- 3 to 5 to years’ experience in assembly operations.
- Past Team Lead or Supervisory experience highly preferred
- Must be able to read, write and speak English effectively.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel
- Must be able to stand for long periods.
- Must be able to work in a loud environment.
- Must be able to squat, kneel and bend frequently.
- Adheres to all safety guidelines and expectations (wear required PPE, follow safety protocols, and report any safety incidents, accidents, and near-misses promptly)
- Familiar with and can locate Safety Data Sheet
- Audits and enforces all team members to follow safety guidelines and expectations
- Understands OSHA’s “Right to Know” Policy
