Waterjet Operator (experience required to apply)

We are looking for an experienced individual to join our team as a Waterjet Machine Operator.

Responsibilities:

• Operate waterjet cutting machine following established procedures and quality standards
• Study blueprints or sketches to determine the dimensions of the finished work piece and setup requirements
• Set up machines before each production run, making sure all necessary materials and tools are ready
• Load raw materials into machines and adjust settings for desired specifications.
• Responsible for all adjustments on CNC control panel
• Inspect finished products for defects, adjusting machine settings if needed
• Ability to accurately read instruments such as micrometers and calipers
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and perform basic repairs or notify maintenance staff
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning to keep machines running smoothly
• Record production data and maintain accurate documentation of machine operations
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure a smooth workflow
• Willingness to learn and improve as a Machine Operator

Requirements:

• 2 yrs. experience as an operator of a waterjet cutting machine, Jet Edge or Flow experience a plus.
• Reliable and punctual with a commitment to meeting work schedules
• Basic math skills for calculations and measurements
• Physical stamina for standing and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Attention to detail and a focus on producing high-quality work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Problem-solving skills to address machine issues
• Good communication skills for effective collaboration

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
