Position: Medical Front Office Specialist
We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented individual to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment, handling a variety of clerical tasks with a focus on patient care and office efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule patient appointments and manage a high volume of phone calls.
- Verify insurance eligibility and ensure accurate billing information.
- Collect payments and assist with insurance verification.
- Check in patients and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed and distributed.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of HIPAA compliance to protect patient confidentiality.
- Collaborate closely with the bookkeeping department to ensure accurate financial documentation.
- Utilize EMR systems, Microsoft Word, and Excel to manage patient information and office tasks effectively.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical office or similar role is REQUIRED.
- Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
