Screen Printing - Production Assistant

We are looking for a press assistant to join our team for 2nd Shift starting immediately. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently assisting with set-up / tear down of press, cleaning screens/tools, and quality control of printed merchandise.

Our ideal candidate is someone with a strong work ethic looking for an entry-level position in the screen printing industry. No experience needed. We will train you. We encourage you to apply.

We do the best apparel print work in Columbia and expect a high level of attention to detail and willingness to learn and grow.

Responsibilities:

• Quality inspection for printing defects or irregularities.
• Unloading finished merchandise from screen printing press onto conveyor belt.
• Work closely with the production team to maintain a smooth workflow and minimize disruptions.
• Report any quality issues to the production manager promptly.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Keen attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. (Think high volume restaurant kitchen)
• Multitasker open to learning and filling in where needed
• Previous experience in a screen printing shop is a plus, but not required.

Your Responsibilities:

• Inspect production prints for color, registration, and print quality according to customer specifications.
• Inform the press operator of print problems observed during the production run.
• Set-up and tear jobs quickly.
• Be able to anticipate when to jump into action or change gears.
• Record and report quantities of rejected material and acceptable prints
• Counting and number retention.
• Work quickly and effectively.
• Expect to lift heavy things regularly.
• This is a standing position in a warehouse. We only sit during breaks.

Paid Holidays after 90 days.
