Our busy pediatric and adult urgent care clinic is searching for a multi-talented and compassionate Limited Rad Tech / X-Ray Technician / Medical Assistant. This role requires an individual with a solid foundation in radiologic technology, specifically within the scope of a Limited Rad Tech license, and the ability to provide comprehensive clinical support to our patients. The ideal candidate will be proficient in obtaining high-quality X-ray images of specific anatomical regions, possess excellent patient interaction skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. A passion for working with children is a strong asset.
Responsibilities :
Radiologic Technologist Duties (within the scope of Limited Rad Tech license) :
Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures on permitted anatomical sites as prescribed by physicians, adhering to established protocols for patient positioning and radiation safety.
Operate and maintain X-ray equipment, ensuring compliance with quality control standards and safety regulations.
Process and develop X-ray images, maintaining high-quality standards.
Accurately document patient information and procedures within medical records.
Assist in managing radiology supplies and inventory.
Medical Assistant Duties :
Prepare patients for examinations, obtain vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weight, height), and document patient histories.
Assist physicians with examinations and procedures, ensuring proper patient preparation and equipment availability.
Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
Perform laboratory tests, such as strep tests, urinalysis, and blood glucose monitoring.
Provide wound care, including cleaning, dressing, and bandaging.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care instructions.
Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments and answering phones, as needed.
Qualifications :
Graduate of an accredited Limited Radiologic Technology program.
Current state licensure as a Limited Radiologic Technologist.
Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable.
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
