Travel Respiratory Professional Job Opening

We're looking for a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our travel team for a 12-hour day shift position at an Iron Mountain, Michigan hospital. As a travel nurse, you'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients, apply your skills and knowledge in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy the flexibility of travel nursing.

In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, conducting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes. You'll have the chance to work in various settings, including ICUs, CCUs, and step-down units, and develop your skills in patient assessment, ventilation management, and airway clearance techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' respiratory conditions, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement interventions as needed.

• Diagnostic Testing: Perform diagnostic tests, such as pulmonary function tests and blood gas analyses, to inform treatment decisions.

• Communication and Collaboration: Work effectively with healthcare teams to ensure effective communication, coordination, and delivery of quality patient care.

• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, detailed records of patient information, progress, and treatment plans.

• Continuing Education: Participate in educational programs and training sessions to enhance clinical skills and stay current with industry developments.

Requirements:

• Current RRT certification, valid state license, and BLS/CPR certification

• Minimum 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy, preferably in a critical care setting

• Strong knowledge of respiratory anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology, as well as ventilator management and aerosol therapy techniques

• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
