About the Role
- As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), you will provide mental health services to inmates at a correctional facility, ensuring their well-being and rehabilitation.
The ideal candidate will have a current LCSW certification valid in California, a minimum of 12 continuous months of similar experience within the last 3 years, and proficiency in English, both oral and written.
Your responsibilities will include delivering mental health services under the guidance of the Senior Psychologist or Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker, evaluating, diagnosing, and managing psychiatric disorders, and documenting all care provided.
You will also participate in crisis interventions, group psychotherapy, and face-to-face interviews, potentially at cell fronts, and facilitate patient transitions within the institution.
This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to maintain safety and security, ensuring proper conduct of inmates to prevent any harm.
