The Senior CAD Designer is responsible for developing, modifying, and managing complex technical drawings, 3D models, and schematics using advanced computer-aided design (CAD) software. This role involves collaborating with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure that all designs meet project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. The Senior CAD Designer also plays a key role in mentoring junior designers, optimizing design workflows, and ensuring design accuracy and efficiency.
Required Skills :
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or other industry-leading CAD software.
- Expertise in developing detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for mechanical, electrical, structural, or civil engineering projects.
- Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and technical detailing.
- Ability to lead and review CAD designs to ensure accuracy, compliance, and manufacturability.
- Experience with complex assemblies, parametric modeling, and dynamic blocks .
- Ability to work directly with engineers, architects, and project managers to develop innovative design solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot design challenges.
- Proficiency in managing and organizing CAD libraries, templates, and standards.
- Excellent organizational and file management skills, including revision control and documentation .
- Effective communication and leadership skills for mentoring junior CAD designers .
