What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder position at Nightwing?

Required Skills
Proficiency in advanced welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, SMAW (stick welding), and FCAW.
Expertise in reading and interpreting complex blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
Strong knowledge of welding metallurgy and properties of various metals.
Ability to perform precision welding and fabrications with minimal supervision.
Thorough understanding of safety protocols and best practices in welding operations.
Experience with welding in diverse positions, such as flat, vertical, overhead, and horizontal.
Competence in inspecting welds for quality and compliance with codes and standards.
Desired Skills
Experience with robotic or automated welding systems.
Familiarity with CNC cutting, bending, or related fabrication tools.
Proficiency in pipefitting and structural welding for large-scale projects.
Knowledge of corrosion-resistant welding materials and techniques.
Ability to develop welding procedures and provide technical guidance to teams.
Skills in maintenance and repair of welding equipment.
Education Requirement
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a certified welding apprenticeship program or vocational school training.
Minimum of 10 years of welding experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or advanced role.
Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with Poly
