Summary
The S/R Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the receiving and shipping in a manufacturing facility to ensure that product is received, inventoried, and shipped in an accurate, efficient, and timely fashion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
Train and assist employees involved in the following Shipping/Receiving functions:
- Accurately track and record incoming and/or outgoing shipments including subcontract items
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Prepare all necessary documents as required
- Proper inspection and documentation of all material handling equipment
- Coordinate training documentation with Production Process Coordinator
- Recommend improvements needed to the General Manager
- Monitor daily operations reports
- Provide shipping and freight estimates as needed
- Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, and Maintenance as needed regarding possible missed ship dates, purchased parts and warehouse/packaging materials needed, and maintenance needed on any material handling equipment or scales, etc.
- Review and request shipping and warehouse supplies
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and work with Purchasing and IT and any others involved on future projects including, but not limited to plant layout and design, barcoding, and serialization
- Manage the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies in the corporate ERP system
- Collaborate and communicate with logistics technicians, customer service, and all involved with shipments and receipts of products/materials/supplies
- Track, trace, and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments incorporating TMS and other shipping software
- Maintain accurate oversight of daily moves:
- Inventory transfers
- Receipts
- Outgoing shipment transactions
- Other
- Provide additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments
- Evaluate deliveries, shipments, oversight of carriers, damages, lost shipments and invoice discrepancies

· Requires mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide and perform metric conversions
· Requires good oral and written communication skills in order to interact with and provide work direction to employees
· Requires a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications
· Experience with ERP systems
Education and/or Experience
· Required education or experience generally equivalent to an associate degree
· Requires 3-5 years of shipping and receiving experience
· Must be a certified forklift driver

Specific vision requirements for this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
During the performance of his/her work duties, the incumbent will be occasionally required to lift up to 75 pounds, and will frequently lift up to 25 pounds, such as moving parts from skid to skid.

The employee works in a production facility environment and may be exposed to hot temperatures in the summer months and cold temperatures during the winter months. Safety shoes and eye protection are required at all times, as well as any other PPE identified by the company.

Entry level pay: <4 years
Median level pay: 4 - 6 years
