The Neurology Field IT Engineer is primarily responsible for ensuring the optimal installation of special technical and IT equipment related to system purchases. Project manages and performs field IT configuration projects, provides advanced support for customers and Neuro Technical Support, working at times in partnership with Product Manager, Neurology. Works closely with customer IT and other technical departments to facilitate smooth communication between existing systems and NKA products. Field IT Systems engineer is also responsible for troubleshooting technical issues as needed either on site or via remote access.

Essential Functions And Main Duties

  • Assumes responsibility for IT CFG Projects as assigned by Manager Neuro Field IT Engineering
    • Project Review and schedules sessions with Hospital IT Team
    • Phone, on-site support and consulting with IT Customers and MIS staff to meet their needs for system integration into the facilities’ networks and IT infrastructures
    • Performs Configuration for Servers, Storage Arrays, Archive Systems, Special Network Configurations, SQL, Citrix, and Data Storage.
    • Assist customers with installation of EEG apps on Citrix, Terminal services, VDI systems for Remote access solutions.
    • Service Report and Close report
  • Assumes responsibility for Project Management of Key Accounts as assigned by Manager
    • Perform Project Management for the entire Project (Full Projects, not limited to IT)
    • Provides Project Plan and Schedule in coordination with Neurology Scheduler
    • Service Report and Close Report
  • Assumes responsibility for effectively meeting reporting requirements
    • Service Reports
    • Project Close Reports
    • New Feature enhancements for HL7 and NeuroWorkbench (NWB) software
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time based on business need.
Qualifications

Education / Certification / Experience Required

  • Associate degree in IT or related discipline; relevant education and experience accepted in lieu of degree
  • 4 years of experience in software installation and service of electronic equipment/servers, preferably medical and in a hospital environment
  • 4 years of related experience in customer-facing technical services and implementation, preferably medical and in a hospital environment
  • 4 years of experience with Networking, server, SQL Database and Citrix Software
  • 4 years of experience with Windows Server OS, virtualized computing environment
  • CompTIA A , Net , Security Certifications preferred
  • Level and compensation depend on location, experience, education and skills

Compentencies Required

  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts/issues to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong technical and troubleshooting knowledge
  • Ability to set up and configure Clinical software is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Good customer relations skills
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Network and Server configuration, Windows Server OS, virtualized computing environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
  • High-speed internet required
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing, and to receive and understand verbal and written instructions in English
  • Able to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment

Compensation

The anticipated range for this position is $78,000 to $100,000. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, experience and location.

Working Conditions

Schedule: The regular hours for this full-time position are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, unless otherwise stated by the department manager. Holiday, weekend, and evening work hours may be required. Regular hours may vary due to the needs of the organization or department and are subject to change at any time at the Company’s discretion.

Physical: Generally may require some reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying up to 25 pounds, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, standing, walking, sitting, hearing, visual acuity, and color vision. More specific details may be provided as needed or requested.

Travel: Approximately 80%

Access to Customer Sites: It is an essential function of this position to perform duties in healthcare facilities, and to achieve the necessary vendor credentialing. As part of this process, it is typically required to provide proof of vaccinations (including COVID-19), and related personal medical information, and to comply with other criteria as needed to be able to work at customer sites. Typical vendor credentialing expenses will be paid/reimbursed by the Company.
