Job Purpose
The HR Coordinator is responsible for successfully assisting and providing a variety of administrative tasks within the HR department. The HR Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of HR functions and contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with recruitment efforts, including posting job openings, coordinating reviews, preparing necessary documentation, and candidate background checks.
Support new hire setup and onboarding requirements.
Support with new hire orientation program; this may include, but not limited to, benefits orientation and HR information systems training.
Assist with timely and compliant processing of the companys bi-weekly payroll.
Help maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel files and employee records in the HRIS system and ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
File paperwork and maintain employee documents.
Assist with employee relations matters, including conducting investigations and resolving employee issues.
Engage in interactions with employees, addressing HR inquiries and fostering effective communication.
Coordinate HR-related events (e.g., trainings, wellness fair), and year-round employee-related events.
Assist with maintaining and updating required workplace posters and compliance documentation.
Assist with monitoring the companys Learning Management System (LMS) for compliance and completion of the required training modules, including tracking new hire training.
Run reports, complies data, and interprets as appropriate.
Support the ordering of business cards, supplies, and miscellaneous office as needed.
Support HR initiatives and projects.
Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or higher preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience in an HR administrative or coordination role.
Basic knowledge of HR principles and processes preferred.
Skills & Abilities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
Proficient in MS Office software, HRIS systems and other HR-related software.
Excellent customer service skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
Knowledge of general labor laws and regulations.
Working conditions
The HR Coordinator usually works in an office environment.
The HR Coordinator works a standard work week but may be required to work some weekends and evenings to fulfill duties.
The HR Coordinator may need to drive their personal automobile for office errands.
Compensation
The anticipated range for this position is $24.27 to $29.80 at an hourly rate. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, experience and location.
Physical requirements
Must be able to type using the keyboard of a computer. Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on the telephone. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
