A Planning Coach is responsible for the daily planning of an optimal flow of goods through the supply chain, whereby the delivery of the product is tailored to the demands of the marketplace. The balance between customer satisfaction, capacities, costs, and sustainability is crucial. You support and guide your team in continuous process improvements. You also use data and analysis to improve service to our consumers.
- Collaborate with DC Operations to develop shift production plans to meet established daily goals
- Create a culture that provides accountability and celebrates successes within the team
- Ensure customer shipping requirements are adhered to reduce customer and transportation charges against facility CPU.
- Ensure process adherence by creating, updating, and training standard work documentation as processes change
- Drive continuous improvement by documenting and root causing any issues that cause the team to deviate from standard processes
This is a high visibility role that requires partnership across the NA Distribution and Logistics network. The teams you will interact with are Marketplace Operations, DC Operations, Nike Transportation, Transportation Carriers (TL/LTL/Parcel) and Retail/Wholesale customers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business or related field or have at least 3 years’ experience in a planning or logistics function
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) with advanced knowledge in Excel (pivot tables, index/match, etc.)
- Experience with Manhattan Associates WMOS or similar Warehouse Management System (WMS) software
- Experience with PINC or similar Yard Management System (YMS) software
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP Systems
- Experience leading people is a plus
