Nikola Energy is looking for a highly talented and experienced Lead Modular Fueler Project Development for the development and execution of hydrogen infrastructure projects to successfully produce, transport and dispense hydrogen for Class 8 FCEV truck usage. This position reports directly to the Director Modular Fuelers Site Development.
In this important role, you will work closely with project development, project management and technical SMEs in planning, developing, and executing hydrogen infrastructure projects. You will interact with Partner counterparts as well as Engineering, Vendor, Fabricator and Constructor counterparts. Infrastructure projects include feasibility, Regulatory, Permitting, Procurement, Construction, and work closely with other cross functional teams during commissioning and Start-up phases.
Responsibilities
You will work within cross-functional Infrastructure teams and build strong, strategic relationships with Partners, Vendors and EPC contractors to develop project execution planning, developing integrated master schedules, monitor progress, complete review and analysis, mitigate schedule conflicts and delays, complete comprehensive reporting and ultimately assist project leadership in driving the project to a successful completion.
Responsibilities Include:
- Supervising the Construction and Development of Hydrogen Modular Fuelers Site Projects from concept to completion, interfacing with cross-functional teams including planning, sales; safety, procurement, and FCEV Truck Fleets
- Ensuring site designs are performed aligning with customer requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate closely with the Hydrogen Strategy Development Team to explore new areas for potential fueling stations development.
- Assist with the site acquisition and due diligence.
- Interface with internal and external customers like (utilities, AHJs, contractors end customer) to ensure consistent communication among all stakeholders.
- Support, Coordinate, and manage Site Operating Permit Reporting monitoring to ensure compliance with Federal State and local rules and regulations.
- Managing contractors and partners.
Qualifications
Requirements Include:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business or Construction Management or relevant experience
- 2 years in Energy related projects
- 2- 5 Years of experience on industrial gases or cryogenic industries
- Experience working in EPC Companies and Owner/Producer Companies preferred.
- Strong Primavera; Microsoft Project and Excel knowledge
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must have the ability to understand and accurately interpret engineering, procurement and construction documents.
- Experience working in hydrogen projects is a plus.
- Up to 50% travel required.
- Weekends as required
