Responsibilities

• Provide assistance and support to employees, clients, and visitors regarding security-related inquiries and concerns.  
• Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms, and take appropriate action as necessary.  
• Patrol assigned areas to detect and deter security threats, unauthorized access, and suspicious activities. 
• Monitor security cameras, alarms, and access control systems to identify potential security breaches. 
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with security procedures and protocols. 
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of security-related incidents and activities. 
• Assist in the implementation of security policies, procedures, and protocols to enhance safety and security. 
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and emergency responders as needed. 
• Participate in training sessions and drills to enhance security awareness and preparedness. 
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Security Supervisor or Manager. 
• Flexibility – there will be needs to cover other shifts/days/etc, we ask that you are flexible and supportive 
• Additional functions important to this job include providing support as first responder to gas alarms in our testing labs, assisting with guest check in and covering for our front desk personnel during meetings or time off, assisting with investigation of safety incidents under the direction of Corporate Safety and Security management, providing support for special events and other duties as may be assigned. 

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in security or law enforcement is highly preferred. 
• 1-2 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field. 
• Strong observational skills with the ability to detect and assess potential security risks. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies. 
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and security systems. 
• Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, and lift objects as needed. 
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (if required). 
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
