We are on the lookout for a Software Product Manager - HMI and Mobile Apps
to join our team. The position of Software Product Manager - HMI and Mobile Apps requires an individual who is data-driven, disciplined and pragmatic; quick to adapt, course-correct and allow data to lead in the right direction. The position also requires the individual to uncover the user's needs and pain points from engaging our customers, partners and, most importantly, diving into the data.
Responsibilities
- Creating the vision and strategy for our vehicles’ human-machine interfaces and mobile app products;
- Maintaining the feature backlog and product roadmap;
- Defining and prioritizing product deliverables with leadership;
- Leading cross-functional teams on high-impact projects to ensure alignment, execution, and our launches;
- Anticipating bottlenecks, making tradeoffs and balancing the business needs, customer needs, versus technical or operational constraints;
- Presenting product roadmap and status to the business and Nikola leadership on an ongoing basis
- Communicate concisely and influence outcomes;
- Owning the success and accuracy of your product deliverables.
- Occasional travel domestically and possibly international to customer sites, supplier sites, Nikola manufacturing site and conferences (up to 10% total travel time).
Qualifications
- Master's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or closely related technical disciplin
- Position also requires education or experience in:
- 1) maintaining and supporting network infrastructure;
- 2) integrating software components into a network environment;
- 3) software systems and their compatibility;
- 4) assessing network systems for interoperability ensuring the seamless functioning of various networked devices and protocols; and
- 5) automotive networked systems and communication protocols.
- *Any level of knowledge, experience and/or coursework in the specific skills is acceptable. *These special skills may have been obtained prior to, during, or after completion of post-graduate degree.
