We are on the lookout for an experienced Technical Database Developer to join the Service and Warranty - Parts team. As the Technical Database Developer, you will serve as the primary resource for the creation and maintenance of our dealer facing parts catalog. The ideal candidate will have prior development experience ensuring databases and related systems will comply with internal and external standards and security.
Utilizing 3D CAD software, you will identify various components within the vehicle model and assign/manage characteristics to them as they relate to future servicing and repair.
Responsibilities
You Will:
- Maintain communication cross-functionally between Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Service and Warranty.
- Compile, verify accuracy and sort information according to priorities set by the Parts team.
- Support the transition from one database to another.
- Review the data for accuracy and correct, where possible.
- Independently research and obtain additional documentation.
- Participate in all stages of the development life cycle, from concept planning to build, testing, delivery debugging and documentation.
- Apply best practices and techniques for data entry.
- Report weekly on progress.
- Comply with data integrity and security practices.
Qualifications
You Bring:
- Progressing towards a Mechanical Engineering/ Automotive Engineering degree
- Minimum of 2 years applicable work experience- relevant class credit may be applicable
- Ability to take ownership and facilitate consensus among a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Must be willing to collaborate and problem solve in an open team environment.
- Microsoft Office Suite experience, with strong proficiency in Excel
- 3DX PLM administration experience a plus
- CAD- CATIA, Teamcenter, or SolidWorks experience required
- Previous experience working in an automotive/ transportation related field is a plus.
Candidates must have current U.S. work authorization or be TN eligible from Mexico or Canada. This position is not eligible for CPT or OPT.
