Night Custodian
Salary per Master Agreement
Performance responsibilities:
Perform scheduled cleaning of rooms or areas in building, including:

- Emptying wastebaskets.
- Cleaning/disinfecting restrooms, including wet-mopping floors.
- Dust mopping and/or vacuuming floors.
- Cleaning chalkboards and trays.
- Other duties as detailed on CCAP Job Card.
- Make any necessary minor repairs. Report to the Head Custodian or Night Foreman any repairs which cannot be completed by the custodian.
- Properly clean and care for all equipment. Store equipment and supplies neatly in assigned areas.
- At all times possible, assist the public using the building. Public relations are an important part of the custodian's job.
- Assist in cafeteria, as needed, in order to keep the area clean and neat.
- Check lighting daily for burned out lamps and replace when possible.
- Operate scrubbing equipment and apply floor finish (seal, wax, etc.)
- Assist in landscape and grounds duties in the immediate area of building. Keep walks and entrances free of snow, ice, or other debris.
- Assist in set-up of chairs, tables, etc. as required for building activities.
- Clean glass, furniture, and walls as needed.
- Use Work Force Time and Attendance system as needed.
- Report any absence from work to the Operations Office, according to the SEIU Master Agreement.
- Paint walls, ceilings, furniture, equipment or exterior of building as assigned by Director of Maintenance/Operations.
- Comply with all school district policies and procedures.
- Exercise safe procedures at all times, using good judgment in the protection of his own and others' safety as well as reporting/correcting safety hazards.
- Exercise strict adherence to all NCS safety policies and training programs assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all student affairs.
- Perform such other job-related duties as assigned by the Head Custodian, Building Principal, Director of Maintenance and Operations, and/or the Superintendent of schools.
