Summary of Position
The IT Project Lead coordinates with internal business owners to manage special projects. The Project Lead meets with business owners to understand objectives, ROI, present project solutions and estimates. They manage the project from start to end with the assistance of other Information Technology team members who provide technical guidance, solutions and support. This role documents each project, develops and documents standard operating procedures and instructions, performs daily tasks, manages and presents technical training across various software tools on a regular basis, and provides end user support.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Define project scope, goals, timelines, and deliverables, and creates project plans.
· Collaborate with business owners to understand project requirements, document specifications, and ensure alignment with project/business objectives.
· Track scope, IT hours, and manage the project budget to ensure financial viability.
· Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively address issues to minimize impact.
· Regularly communicate project status updates to business owners and technical team, manage expectations and address concerns.
· Implement quality control measures to ensure deliverables meet standards for accuracy and expectations.
· Manage project scope changes, evaluate impact, and implement adjustments while maintaining project integrity.
· Document procedures and instructions for hand-off to the business owner.
· Generate reports to support the business owner and process once deployed.
· Transition the project to the business owner, providing training, documentation, and support to ensure a successful hand-off.
· Create and manage short, monthly, in-person “Facts and Snacks” training.
· Respond to employee changes that require software account maintenance.
Skills & Qualifications
· Business or computer science degree.
· Project management work experience.
· One to three years of experience in information technology or related role.
· Training / public speaking skills.
· Excellent listening and strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Technical writing / process workflow design.
· Creative problem-solving and critical thinking.
· Strong teaming capabilities and project management skills - PMI Certification a bonus.
· Ability and desire to master new tools.

· Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel (must be highly proficient),

· Niles provides core business and Microsoft Office training to ensure a standard skillset. Additional technical training provided as required.
