The Niles Park District is seeking a motivated and responsible individual to serve as the Manager of Pioneer Park. This seasonal role will oversee the daily operations of the Pioneer Park concessions and batting cages, ensuring a clean, safe, and customer-friendly environment. This will be a 30 hour / week position in Spring / Fall, and 40 / week in Summer. Hourly Range : $18-22 / hour, no benefits.
- Oversee the scheduling, training, and performance of part-time attendants.
- Provide guidance, support, and on-the-job training to ensure team success.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for attendant staff during shifts.
- Concession Operations :
- Ensure high standards of food preparation, safety, and cleanliness.
- Monitor and maintain food inventory, restocking supplies as needed.
- Oversee the proper use, cleaning, and maintenance of food preparation equipment.
- Ensure cleanliness of the concession building, surrounding grounds, and batting cages.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure all equipment is functioning properly and safely.
- Maintain a customer-friendly environment, addressing patron inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Monitor attendants’ interactions with patrons to ensure excellent service standards.
- Oversee batting cage operations to ensure proper functioning and safe usage.
- Implement and enforce park district policies and procedures to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors.
- Assist in creating schedules to ensure proper coverage for all shifts.
- Communicate effectively with park district management regarding operational needs and updates.
