Party Attendant

Description

The Niles Park District is seeking a friendly, responsible, and energetic individual to join our team as a Weekend Party Attendant. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children and creating memorable experiences for families. The Party Attendant will assist with Jungle Fun Parties (ages 2–8) and other room rentals, such as showers and birthday celebrations, ensuring all events run smoothly from start to finish. This is a part-time year-round position. Pay range is $18-22/hour, no benefits.

• Welcome guests and take an accurate headcount of attendees.
• Ensure all participants adhere to Jungle Fun Room guidelines (e.g., socks required, maximum capacity of 25 children).
• Assist party hosts as needed during events, providing a positive and helpful presence.
• Supervise the Jungle Fun Room, ensuring safety and proper use of equipment.
• Facilitate a clean and organized environment during and after the party.
• Clean and reset the Jungle Fun Room and party room following each event.
• Monitor and enforce time limits, including assisting with transitions to vacate the party room within 15 minutes after the event.
• Provide assistance with room rentals for other private events, such as showers and birthday parties.
  
  

Requirements

• 21 years or older
• Availability to work weekends.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with children and families.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move actively for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds for event setup and cleanup.
