Dog Boarding and Daycare Attendant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe and fun environment for dogs in our care. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the well-being of the dogs, engaging them in play, and maintaining a clean and organized facility.

Duties

• Supervise and interact with dogs in a daycare setting to ensure their safety and enjoyment.
• Provide basic care for dogs, including feeding, grooming, and administering medications as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of the daycare area by regularly cleaning kennels, play areas, and equipment.
• Monitor dog behavior and health, reporting any concerns to management.
• Assist with dog training sessions and reinforce positive behaviors.
• Handle heavy lifting when moving supplies or managing larger dogs.
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed to protect both the dogs and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in animal care or handling is preferred; previous work in a kennel or veterinary setting is a plus.
• Strong skills in dog handling, including knowledge of animal restraint techniques.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) as required for the role.
• Familiarity with dog training methods and pet grooming practices is beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills and a genuine love for animals are essential.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 16 per week
