D219 University Instructor

Position Statement :
District 219 has offered continuing professional development for our staff through D219 University. D219 University
courses allow teachers lane advancement on the salary schedule. Each course meets for a maximum of 40 hours.
D219 will compensate D219 instructors for the number of hours the course meets at their hourly curriculum rate
maximum of $63.32). When more than one instructor is teaching a given course, the hourly curriculum rate will be split
among all instructors of the course.
2024-2025 Hourly rates are determined according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement as follows :
- BA = $55.87
- MA or 5 years = $59.59
- MA and 5 years = $63.32
TRS and THIS will be deducted and earnings reported to the Teachers Retirement System.
Essential Functions :
Individuals who are proposing D219 University courses need to submit a course description that includes
a demonstration of rigor and relevance. Include where participant resources will be located (eg : Google
Drive link, website, Frontline, etc)
Ensure that the number of PD hours equal a minimum of 36 hours and maximum of 40 hours in order to
receive 3 lane advancement credits
